Terraform and Docker on Windows

  • In the Docker Settings, enable 
    Expose daemon on tcp://localhost:2375 without TLS

    (note this is a security risk!)

  • Set the environment variable, before running Terraform:
set DOCKER_HOST=tcp://localhost:2375
  • Add the docker provider to the terraform file:
main.tf
provider "docker" {
  host    = "npipe:////.//pipe//docker_engine"
}
